Position:
The candidate will be a part of a veteran team that operates in a dynamic sales and trading environment. The team executes multiple billion in fixed income securities through our proprietary electronic platform and traditional voice businesses. We are specifically seeking technology-savvy sales professionals with experience in the corporate bond space who can leverage client relationships across our robust capital markets platform. As a senior member of the DirectPool team, you will be responsible for helping to grow our fixed income electronic trading franchise, in both participation and market share. This is primarily accomplished by building deep, value-focused relationships with clients and engaging with them on ways they can grow and advance their business.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leverage your own existing relationships to bring new buy-side clients to the product and to the firm, with an ability to sell across all products
- Build valuable, trusted, and enduring relationships with customers, providing them with top level support and communication. Manage a book of clients and develop a deep understanding of their business, workflows, and electronic trading needs, all with an eye towards spotting enterprise revenue opportunities. Retain existing users by growing the participation from established firms
- Identify opportunities for new client acquisition and growing our client base by thorough prospecting, relationship management, referrals, cross-selling and attending external events/conferences
- Increase new electronic trading business through winning mandates, increasing market share, and educating clients on the electronic trading landscape
- Keep up to date with market developments and competitor intelligence to understand competitive threats, address them, and ensure client retention
- Gather, organize, and share product feedback with other internal and external stakeholders (i.e., sales, trading, Bloomberg) to ensure that client feedback and enhancements are vetted, specified accurately and escalated as necessary, and then ultimately delivered
