Internal Sales Consultant

As our Internal Sales Consultant, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • implementing tactical strategies through the use of data in partnership with your RDs to increase sales, prepare weekly action plans, retain assets, and cultivate new clients
  • working as part of a team (RD and IC) and developing strong sales acumen to meet and surpass sales and activity goals for the region
  • analyzing data from multiple sources to segment clients and formulate a successful sales outreach strategy
  • obtaining virtual meeting appointments with financial advisors to conduct a sales, value-add, or portfolio manager presentation
  • consulting with advisors to understand needs and cross selling products
  • developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of financial markets, Macquarie products and services and the competitive landscape;  discussing the array of products across all disciplines (fund objectives, portfolio structures, investment management process and strategy benchmarks)
  • sharing thoughtful sales ideas with a team of ICs and RDs based on current initiatives
  • building an understanding of key broker dealers including products, platforms, structure and initiatives
  • maintaining and updating the Client Relationship Management system (Salesforce) for all advisor client activities in designated territories
  • fielding inbound calls from partners and advisor clients regarding product questions
  • 5-10% travel with RD or to cover for your RD to help present our products and services;  represent Delaware Investments at various regional meetings and conferences
  • ensuring compliance with internal and external rules, policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements
