Position Overview
Xponance is seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations & Junior Trader to join its team in Durham, North Carolina. This hybrid role combines trading execution, portfolio implementation, and operational oversight, providing direct interaction with portfolio managers, analysts, and counterparties.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Execution
- Execute equity trades across active and passive portfolios.
- Manage broker relationships and monitor execution quality.
- Ensure accurate trade booking, allocation, and confirmation.
- Support efficient execution through real-time market monitoring.
Operations & Middle Office
- Manage client onboarding, cash flows, portfolio rebalancing, and index tracking.
- Perform trade reconciliation and coordinate settlement processes.
- Maintain data integrity across trading and accounting systems.
- Assist with workflow improvements and process automation initiatives.
Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Support pre- and post-trade compliance activities.
- Assist with broker due diligence and regulatory documentation.
- Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in trading support, operations, or middle office within asset management.
- Exposure to global equities and fixed income.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Experience with SS&C Advent and OMS/EMS platforms preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; Python or SQL experience is a plus.
