Our Private Debt program is currently seeking an Investment Manager to be involved in the portfolio management for the CalPERS Enhanced Return Portfolio and responsible for the day to day implementation and execution of investment strategies and drive our CalPERS mission.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the individual issue selection from a large array of senior in the capital structure Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) securities to construct a portfolio.
- Responsible for the management of the CLO portfolio, including strategic and tactical purchase and sale decisions to accomplish the goal of earning the highest available return consistent with the targeted level of risk in the portfolio.
- Negotiate complex deal terms with underwriters and CLO managers to identify risk characteristics in order to make appropriate investment decisions.
- Conduct relative value analysis across the CLO capital structure and ensure proper pricing by CLO managers and other complex structured securities
